Peters Walk
April 10, 2004

The YOUth gathered, had their blindfolds tied on and shoes removed

then were led to the first event

Here, "Peter" related the story of how Jesus fed the five thousand
with just five loaves of bread and two fish. (John 6:9-13)
Each youth was given a piece of bread and fish

The second event was the story of Peter climbing out of the boat to
join Jesus, walking on water. Being blindfolded made the youth just a little nervous since they
didn't know what was coming

At the third station, the story of Jesus raising Jairus' daughter from the dead was related

The fourth event the youth experienced was taken from Matthew 16:17-18
Each one was given a rock as a symbol of the words
"you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church"

At the fifth station the adults washed

the feet of the youth as Peter related the events and the words from

John 13:36-38 were read,
Janice and Jeremiah sang "Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?",
-- and not a word was spoken nor a body stir after that song --

The sixth and final station was the reading of
John 21:14-17 and a closing prayer offered by Belinda
